Another wall en route to becoming victimized. Though not yet as bad off as the wall in photo No. 1, we can see that before long, it will be in a similar state. With its initial layer of concrete stripped away, this wall's steel bars have begun to show through. Some people can't seem to understand how important it is to preserve Corregidor Island's ruins. I can only shake my head in disbelief when I run into this kind of apathy. If these ruins are allowed to crumble and fall, then the Philippines would lose one of its great historical and treasures - and its most unique tourist attraction, at that. It's time to call a spade a spade. Corregidor Island is in big trouble, and it won't help any to go into denial. It's time for action.
